Terrain

Park

Resort

Pow

What’s this board’s natural home? Full send in the park? Elbows down on the trails? Or chucking roosters somewhere off grid?

Flex

6.0

110

SoftStiff

Softer snowboards are easier to press and won’t kick your ass if you make a mistake. Stiffer decks are more stable at speed and super responsive edge-to-edge. Choose your poison.

Glassing

Tri-Ax Lamination

Our three-way fiberglass weave is light, strong and crazy responsive. We use this to beef up the flex pattern on our more aggressive boards.

Woodcore

Light Core

50/50 Paulownia and poplar creates a balanced core that’s lively yet strong.

Tech

D.S.T. SuperTubes

Dual Super Tubes, a Super Tube on either side of the board enhances pop and gives the camber more snap.

Base

Ultra Glide S

A premium, 7000-grade sintered base reserved for our high-end models. Packing more molecules into the P-tex means it’s super tough and hauls ass.

Layup & Laminate

Carbon Stringers

Our tried and tested carbon layups. We deploy them in different areas to fine-tune the feel of each model.

Inserts

+2 Backseat Inserts

Backseat inserts are an set of extra inserts 4cm behind the bottom inserts. This allows you to set your bindings all the way back, so you can keep floating on those deep pow days. By shifting your weight more back on the board the nose stays up and the pressure on you back leg is reduced.

Topsheet

Step Down Rails Top 3D

This topsheet 3D effect features a slight taper of the deck along the top of the sidewall. This reduces the top-profile, saving weight and adding more precision to your carves.

Sidewalls

Solid Walls

We use tried and trusted ABS sidewalls for most of the collection. For the best flex to strength ratio.

Base Graphic

Flip Flop Base

Die-cut bases are like a jigsaw. Flip Flop minimizes waste by using two or more color options for each piece. That means more unique graphics and less environmental harm.

At the heart of every Bataleon is a combination of 3BT™ and positive camber. It’s an innovative solution to the profile puzzle that minimizes the potential for edge-catch without sacrificing ollie power or carving performance. From this starting point, we fine-tune each element according to the boards desired riding style.

SideKick™ builds on the concept of Triple Base by increasing the sidebase uplift just outside the widest points of the nose and tail. The tips become more like a hull, boosting float in deep snow and slicing through crud. It also helps the board to roll quickly and evenly from edge to edge.

Supertubes™ are hollow carbon cylinders that are inserted directly into the core. They reinforce the camber, reduce weight and greatly increase pop. By varying their location we can fine-tune the board’s performance further.

Delamination after 55-60 days

I used my Thunder for France trip. It was pretty good. Not quite the board I was promised - it's supposed to be a charger, but it's damn chattery at speed.

I put it all over the three valleys on and off piste and as long as you kept your speed up it kept it's nose up. I've ridden easier boards in pow, but it was OK.

About 5" of delam turned up in the last week right behind the front foot. I saw another complaint about the party wave doing this. I was about yo grab one, but I've had 15 snowboards and not had a delam like this so I think I'll stick to us/euro made...

Awesome ride, quality hiccups

Got board damaged, but nothing serious. Seller gave me discount. However, after 1 season it unglued around front foot. That’s unfortunate, as board is marvelous and my riding experience was the best so far.

Lovely

The table appears to be of very good quality and is beautiful. It remains to be tried for this season, what a win!

These are clearly elite boards

I have been snowboarding for almost 20 years. I had many boards. And I can confidently say that batalon boards are unique. Their system works. This model of the board - Thunder, gives great stability , even though the board is not the stiffer one. It is perfect.

Just wow! Actually POW!

Hi, Alex here, shredding since 1998.
I have ridden the Thunder only for 8 days so far (a few more coming!) and I really pushed to understand the limits.
On a badly groomed, at high speed - about 70km/h according to my garmin - the board was incredibly stable and felt I could always control it. Incredibly fast in edge to edge, great in absorbing basically everything you toss to it.
On POW, what can I say… basically it floats at any speed and steepness. Such an easy fun ride.
